The Cause and Effect Diagram

The Cause and Effect Diagram, also know as Fishbone diagram, Ishikawa diagram, herringbone diagram, or Fishikawa are causal diagrams created by Kaoru Ishikawa (1968) that show the causes of a specific event. The fishbone diagram will help to visually display the many potential causes for a specific problem or effect.
